About Kendo Malaysia

Kendo Malaysia was established since February 1989, Kendo Malaysia is strictly an independent body, we are free from political or association interference.

Kendo in Japan or Kumdo in Korea is one of the oldest martial art associated with great warriors of the past. Best known as the way of the sword, it is the most exclusive training for modern fighters known worldwide due to high standard etiquette and elite system of training.

Kendo is categorized as a combat sport. Kendo is a way to instill martial art etiquette, discipline, self-control and self-confidence to each students via principles of self control and progressive athletic ability. Hence, it is a form of long lasting combat sport activities that is enjoyable, competitive, contemporary and scientifically educational.

Kendo Malaysia’s athlete participate in The World Kendo and Kumdo Association, Japan and Korea international tournament on yearly basis.
